State of Florida Breastfeeding Law Card

As a doula,  one of the most common things I have mothers ask me for help with is breastfeeding.

Breastfeeding isn't always easy, which is why I think it is so important to normalize breastfeeding in public.

New moms don't need additional obstacles!

I always give cards to my doula clients here in Jacksonville, but I wanted to find a way to share the information with mothers in the entire state of Florida.

It wasn't until recently (2018!) that breastfeeding in public was made legal in all 50 states....how crazy is that??!

The law that protects mothers in the state of Florida is as follows:

383.015 Breastfeeding.—The breastfeeding of a baby is an important and basic act of nurture which must be encouraged in the interests of maternal and child health and family values, and in furtherance of this goal:
(1) A mother may breastfeed her baby in any location, public or private, where the mother is otherwise authorized to be, irrespective of whether the nipple of the mother’s breast is uncovered during or incidental to the breastfeeding.

We created a mobile friendly card that easily displays these laws that you can download to your phone!
